LAHORE: Minister for Pakistan Railways (PR) Khawaja Saad Rafique said on Sunday that elimination of terrorism and resolution of electricity crisis were vital for progress and prosperity of the country.
Inaugurating Shayan Mahal Event Complex at Ghazi Road here, he said that all institutions were united for rooting out terrorism from the country.
He said that with the grace of Almighty Allah, the sacrifices of brave soldiers of the country would bring stability in the country besides strengthening it.
The minister further said that change could only come through votes and public could do proper accountability of politicians through their votes.
Saad Rafique said that those nations which made progress always followed principles and constitutions of their countries.
If some elements would disappoint people about their future then how would they fight with challenges? the minister questioned. He said that unserious attitude of few people would just harm the country.
He said all provincial governments had funds and authorities which they must use for the betterment of the masses.
Saad said that sincere efforts were being made to overcome energy crisis, adding that Pak-China Economic Corridor would be a game changer and it would bring a lot of benefits.
