WEB DESK: A cafe named Sheroes Hangout in Agra hires only acid attack victims in India.
It is near Taj Mahal and it is run by five females who are acid attack survivors. They set up the café with the help of an NGO fighting for acid attacks in India. Coming from poor families and carrying a social stigma, the café is a breath of fresh hope to acid victims.
The café is not only a source of income for the survivors but also they provide as a training space for acid victims to open small ventures of their own. The idea is to provide them with skills so that they can go back to their cities and open their own places.
