ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is presiding a meeting to devise rules for implementing the National Action Plan, Aaj News reported.
During the meeting where Army Chief General Raheel Sharif was present a report on the security situation of Sindh was presented.
It was stated that from September 2013 when the operation was started to September 2015, 1155 alleged criminals have been killed, 63000 people have been arrested and 167 madressahs have been sealed.
Out of the 9500 madressahs in Sindh, 6503 have been registered. In 21 madressahs of Karachi a search operation was conducted, and cases were registered against some madressahs for promoting hate literature.
Moreover, 18 death sentence convicts in the province were hanged to death.
