Zarb-e-Azb, NAP break terrorists’ backbone: Saad

LAHORE: Pakistan Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique said on Tuesday that operation Zarb-e-Azb and National Action Plan had broken the backbone of terrorists.

The minister said this while talking to the diplomats and staff of Pakistani embassy in Paris, France during his visit to the Europe, says a press release.

He said that sacrifices for the security and defence of Pakistan were yielding results and the country was progressing.

The minister urged the officers and staff to work for the state of Pakistan by setting aside their political affiliations and personal interests, adding that every authoritative Pakistani should express dutiful performance to steer the country out problems.

He said that vibrant parliament, impartial judiciary, effective and alert army and positive economic reforms are indicators of political and economic stability of Pakistan.

“All national institutions are struggling for the implementation of the constitution and law,” he added.

He was of the view that country was in the hands of faithful leadership and eradication of terrorism, energy crisis, corruption and financial crisis was not far away now.

The PR minister discussed the performance of the railways and its issues and also reviewed the opportunities for the French investment in the country.

In the meeting, Pakistani ambassador in Paris Ghalib Iqbal informed about the performance of the Pakistani embassy and issues of the overseas Pakistanis.

The minister also visited different sections of the embassy and expressed his satisfaction on the performance.
