UN chief slams bomb attacks that killed Shuja Khanzada and several others

UNITED NATIONS: UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has condemned Sunday’s bomb attack that killed Punjab’s Home Minister Shuja Khanzada and more than a dozen other people in “Shadi Khan” village, Attock, and called for bringing to justice those responsible for the crime.

“The Secretary-General reiterates that nothing justifies terrorism,” a statement issued by his spokesman said, while expressing sympathies to the people and government of Pakistan .

“He hopes the perpetrators will be brought to justice swiftly,” the statement said.

“The Secretary-General extends his condolences to the families of the victims and wishes the injured a speedy recovery.”
