GHOTKI: Ten persons, including five women, were injured when a passenger van caught fire after a blast in its gas cylinder on the National Highway near Obaro Town of Ghotki on Saturday.
The van was carrying devotees from Sehwan to Khanpoor Katora. The
injured were shifted to Tehsil hospitals of Obaro and Dehrki. While fire tenders controlled the fire after hectic efforts of one hour. The traffic was suspended on the highway due to the accident.
Deputy commissioner Ghotki Muhammad Tahir Wattoo reached the spot to
monitor rescue efforts. He told the media that injured passengers were under treatment at Tehsil hospitals, while other passengers were sent to their destinations by a special bus.
