Sindh Assembly adopts resolution against Altaf Hussain with majority vote

KARACHI: Sindh Assembly on Friday adopted a resolution with majority votes asking Federal Government to take necessary action against chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Altaf Hussain for his diatribe against national institutions.

The resolution was jointly presented by Naand Kumar of PML – Functional, Samar Ali Khan of PTI, Haji Shafiq Jamote of PML – Nawaz and Sohrab Sarki of PPP.

MPAs belonging to all political parties with the exception of MQM unanimously voted in favour of the resolution with Speaker of the Assembly, Agha Siraj Durrani chairing the session.

They also strongly condemned the letter dispatched on behest of Altaf Hussain to the foreign missions in the country about ongoing “operation” for restoration of peace in Karachi.
