Shahbaz reviews Saaf Pani project

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif Tuesday reviewed pace of progress on Punjab Saaf Pani project.

Presiding over a meeting here, the Chief Minister said that Saaf Pani project was directly linked to public health and in view of its importance the project should be accelerated.

He said that clean drinking water was the right of every citizen and Punjab government will give this right to the people through Saaf Pani project.

He said that billions of rupees will be spent on Saaf Pani project during next three years and the scope of this project will be expanded to the whole province under a phased programme.

The CM said that implementation of the project should be ensured during stipulated period and no delay will be tolerated in this regard.

He said that Provincial Minister for Housing would monitor pace of progress on the project regularly.

Provincial Minister for Housing Tanvir Aslam Malik, Minister for Finance Dr. Ayesha Ghaus Pasha, Chief Secretary Khizar Hayat Gondal, Chairman Planning & Development, Secretaries of Housing, Law, Finance, Information, Chairman Punjab Information Technology Board and officials of Punjab Saaf Pani Company attended the meeting.
