WEB DESK: People in Gilgit Balitstan, Chitral, Swat and Islamabad, experienced severe jolts of an earthquake which hit northern Pakistan, Aaj News reported.
The intensity of the earthquake is 6.7 on the Richter Scale. No loss of lives has been reported so far.
People from Islamabad fled their houses and came out in the open, an Aaj News correspondent said.
In Swat the tremors were so strong that people ran out of their houses.
Meanwhile, in Skardu and Gilgit it is expected that the Karakoram Highway will get blocked by land slides.
