Seven terrorists arrested from Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: The team sensitive agencies have arrested seven terrorists, a Police spokesman said on Thursday.

He said the terrorists were residing in four houses away from the residence of Punjab Law Minister Rana Sana Ullah Khan.

They did confine themselves to their residence during day time and only at night they come out, he added.

The area people noted these suspicious activities and informed the sensitive agencies, he said. The sensitive agencies also monitored the suspicious activities of the terrorists for three days, he added.

Then a team of sensitive agencies conducted raid at late night on Wednesday and took seven terrorists into custody.

Out of them, 5 terrorists belong to Khyber Pakhtoon Khan whereas 2 were residents of Faisalabad including accused Tariq, a resident of Makkoana and accsued Shoaib Cheema, a resident of Chak No.226-RB, he said.

The latter was also an active member of a defunct outfit whereas his name was also included in forth schedule, he added.

He said sensitive agencies shifted two terrorists to Lahore for investigation whereas remaining are still in Faisalabad and interrogation is continuing.

The raiding team also recovered explosive material and illegal weapons from the site while the terrorists revealed that they played a role of facilitators for the suicide attackers of Attock at Punjab Home Minister Shuja Khanzada.

The accused also pointed out that Naib Ameer Lakhkar-e-Jhangvi Punjab Nadeem Inqlabi was mastermind of Attock suicide attack and now he is in abroad, the spokesman added.
