KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) senior leader Abdul Rashid Godil will be discharged from hospital soon, said a spokesman for the hospital, Aaj News reported.
According to the spokesman, the injured leader’s wounds were healing quickly and that his condition had improved significantly.
Godil, who has been under treatment at a local hospital after suffering multiple bullet wounds in the gun attack, regained consciousness last week and was shifted from the surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to a ward in the hospital.
On August 18, four attackers on motorcycles had opened fire on Godil’s vehicle in the Bahadurabad area of Karachi. As a result, he got critically injured while his driver killed on the spot. Doctors said the MQM leader was shot five times in the jaw, chin and chest.
