WEBDESK: Punjab Home Minister Shuja Khanzada was injured and three others were killed when a bomb ripped through his personal office in Attock, Aaj News reported
The blast which is said to be a suicide attack destroyed the roof of the building and over 25 people including Khanzada are trapped under the debris.
Khanzada was conducting a political jirga in his hometown when the blast occurred Sunday morning.
Rescue teams have reached the spot and are trying to help the victims. At least 25 injured have been taken to a nearby hospital. Emergency has been declared at hopsitals in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Khanzada had received threats before, his family said. However, no policemen were deployed outside his office in Attock.
Khanzada is talking to rescue workers through his phone, for the past two hours, but as time passes there is danger that his phone battery will die and his breathing will suffer.
