ISLAMABAD: Secretary Information Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Qamar Zaman Kaira Wednesday stressed pro-farmer policies for betterment of peasants and overall revival of country’s economy.
“PPP is a party of farmers, laborers and peasants and would continue struggle for their fundamental rights,” he said talking to media after consultative meeting chaired by Chairman PPP Bilawal Zaradri.
Qamar Zaman Kaira said Chairman PPP Bilawal has stressed to expand the scope of consultative meetings with party workers across the country.
PPP Punjab Chapter President Manzoor Ahmed Watoo and party ticket holders of 2013 general elections held meeting with Bilawal and discussed preparation for coming local government elections and matters related to reorganization of the party.
Mian Manzoor Wattoo also briefed media regarding details of the meeting with Chairman and measures taken by provincial and divisional chapters of the party for forthcoming local government polls in the province.
Responding to a question, Kaira said the party would decide with consensus on issues like controversy about election commission and judicial reforms.
He said Bilawal was personally meeting with district and tehsil level leadership to boost the morale of party workers and have first knowledge about their functioning.
