ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said Pakistan Muslim League-N believes in political harmony and consensus amongst the stakeholders of democratic process.
Chairing a meeting with the office bearers of PML-N KPK Chapter at PM House, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan is faced with many challenges.
The Prime Minister said, “We respect the political mandate of all parties”.
The Prime Minister said the law and order situation in the country was improving and operation Zarb-e-Azb was bearing its fruits. He hoped that soon Karachi would become the city of lights.
The Prime Minister said that country needs mature and experienced leadership that can serve the nation with devotion and selflessness.
The Prime Minister said that completion of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will not only create economic turn-around for Pakistan but for the whole region.
Political situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa also came under discussion during the meeting.
The office bearers of PML (N)-KPK apprised the Prime Minister of the political activities and latest developments regarding by- polls in NA-19 in Haripur district.
The Prime Minister advised Babar Nawaz Khan, PML (N) candidate for NA-19, to work hard with sincerity and leave the rest to Allah Almighty.
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan Abbasi; Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yusuf; Deputy Speaker National Assembly, Murtaza Javed Abbasi; President PML (N)- KPK, Pir Sabir Shah; Capt.(R) Muhammad Safdar (MNA), PM’s Special Assisstant on Political Affairs Dr. Asif Kirmani and Engineer Amir Muqam were present in the meeting.
