ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), under its scheduled plan will ensure smooth and hassle free transportation of 55,000 Hujjaj to Saudi Arabia for Haj-2015.
Every year the national carrier serves Hujjaj by operating special flights from all gateways to Jeddah and Medina.
According to Aviation Division here on Sunday, of the total 55,000 Hujjaj being transported to Holy land included 10,706 from Karachi, 7,880 from Lahore, 10,645 from Islamabad, 9,139 from Peshawar, 8, 121 from Quetta, 4,553 from Multan, 2,229 from Sialkot, 1,095 from Sukkur and 632 Hujjaj would be transported from Rahim Yar Khan.
The Airlines has also planned 155 Hajj flights by B-777, B-330 and A-310 during this year. PIA provides religious service by operating its Hajj flights from main gateways Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad and secondary gateways like Sukkur, Rahim Yar Khan, Multan, Sialkot, Quetta and Peshawar in spite of all fleet constraints to carry Hujjaj from their home towns.
The national carrier also provides complimentary meal facility at arrival points in Saudi Arabia. In addition, PIA provides a flyer having important information regarding air travel and all local contacts at Jeddah and Madina Munawara for facilitation of Hujjaj.
