KARACHI:Pakistan triumphs in World Special Olympics with 63 medals in various games including 15 Gold, 12 Silver, 8 Bronze Medals.
These scores are of individual participants whereas on team level Unified Boys Basketball Team won 10 Silver Medals and Non-Unified Boys Basketball Team won 10 Silver Medals. Football team won eight bronze medals. Aman Kiran, who is Pakistan’s most qualified women football coach with class A license trained the football team. She is one of the 25 Fifa football coaches.
Ume Salma Tahir secures a gold medal in the Badminton singles bringing Pakistan on First position in the Badminton Finals.
Aqsa Ahmed Janjua won a gold medal in 50 meters back stroke. The 18-year-old Janjua has won a silver medal in 50 meters freestyle Aquatics in the series.Pakistan’s Asim Zar achieved a gold medal in 100 meters aquatics freestyle for Pakistan yesterday. Pakistan is participating in 9 games from a total of 26 Olympics games.
Fahad Alvi is a male coach for Aquatics whereas Sanam Saigol is a female coach for Aquatics and Creative and Communication head of the Special Olympics Pakistan. She seemed happy upon the achievements of students she had trained.

Arif Qayyum and Ahsan Anwar secured two Gold Medal in the Tennis doubles against Venezuela at the Special Olympics World Games Los Angeles 2015. The official score was 4-1.
Ramail Irshad secured a gold medal in 400 meter athletics race whereas Marvi Azhar came third after securing a bronze medal in 400 meters race.
In 1 kilometer cycling challenge, Uzma Yousuf came first securing a gold medal for Pakistan. Mehmona Hussain and Khatija Irfan hailed a silver medal in the race whereas Salman Saeed took a bronze medal in the competition.
According to the official website of the World Special Olympics, 54 athletes from Pakistan are participating in Aquatics, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Cycling, Football, Power lifting, Table Tennis, Tennis.
