New Chief Justice to be sworn in on August 16

ISLAMABAD: The Law and Justice Minister has sent the name of Justice Jawad S Khwaja to the Prime Minister for the post of Chief Justice, Aaj News reported.

The current chief justice Nasir ul Mulk has completed his tenure and will retire on August 16. In his place the senior most judge, Justice S Khwaja’s name has been recommended.

After the Prime Minister approves his name, he will take oath as the new Chief Justice on August 17.

According to sources, Justice S Khwaja will retire on September 8 this year. After him two more judges will be hired.
