MQM will not take back its resignations

KARACHI:The dialogue process between Government and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) took a nasty turn after the latter announced on late Friday night that it would not withdraw resignations, according to Aaj News.

An emergency meeting between the MQM Rabita Committee in Karachi and London took place-where it was decided that the party does not care about JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman’s role in the reconciliation process.

It was decided that the government will have to accept their resignations. The MQM decided to withdraw from the national assembly, the provincial assembly and the senate.

The party will reserve its time for the welfare of the province, it was said.
