MQM denies writing letter to Indian High Commissioner

ISLAMABAD: A letter written to the Indian High Commissioner by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement has asked the Indian government to help it recover its missing workers, Aaj News reported.

The letter addressed to Dr TC Raghavan asks India for help. Meanwhile the MQM leadership has denied sending any such letter to Indian embassy.

Speaking to Aaj News, Dr Farooq Sattar, MQM parliamentarian said, “No one from Rabtia Committee has specifically written a letter to the Indian embassy. However the letter might have been sent by mistake.”

He said that the party as a general practice has contacts to several embassies, and similar letters might have been sent to several other countries including India. “However, the office staff might have clicked a wrong button and sent it to the Indian embassy by mistake.”
