LHC bans Phantom movie in Pakistan

LAHORE: Upcoming Bollywood movie Phantom has been banned by the Lahore High Court in Pakistan.

Lahore High Court issued the verdict over a petition filed by Chief of  Jammat-ud-Dawah Hafiz Saeed against the Bollywood movie Phantom.

Indian counter-terrorism movie Phantom is a drama film about post-26/11 attacks in Mumbai, and global terrorism.

Earlier, Hafiz Saeed filed a petition in Lahore High Court, seeking a ban on upcoming Indian movie ‘Phantom’ for its anti-Pakistan content.

“Ali Khan’s upcoming movie has “venom against Pakistan and JuD”, Hafiz Saeed through his lawyer

Saif Ali Khan is playing role of Indian agent in ‘Phantom’ and his job is to find Hafiz Saeed and to kill him.

“The film is about the 2008 Mumbai attack and global terrorism implicating the JuD. There is a filthy propaganda in the movie against Pakistan”, he added.
