Karachi operation, Zarb-e-Azb must continue: NA Speaker

LAHORE: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Friday said that Karachi operation and Zarb-e-Azb would continue at all cost to wipe out the terrorism from the country.

Addressing a seminar on “Terrorism and Role of Media” here, he said that if operation stopped then the country would have to bear destrucation which we will not let that happend .

He said that the operation Zarb-e-Azb was started with a delay. “Had the operation been started earlier, the terrorism would have been eliminated today”, he said.

He said that all political parties and law enforcing agencies would have to cooperate to wipe-out menance of terrorism.

Paying tributes to martyred of Punjab Home Minister Shuja Khanzada, Ayaz Sadiq said that Khanzada offered his life to secure the future of country’s children.”Shuja was a brave son of the soil who sacrificed his life for the people”, he added.

The Speaker said that he requested the Punjab Chief Minister to name two roads and a hospital after Shuja Khanzada in his constituency.

He said enemies did not like the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project. “India’s attitude tells what kind of negotiation it wants”, he said and added that India’s reaction over Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference was representative of its attitude.

Jamat-e-Islami Secretary General Liaqat Baloch, Opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed also spoke on the occasion and appreciated services of Shuja Khanzada against terrorism.
