Insomniacs have normal but disturbed sleep:Study


ISLAMABAD,Aug 11 (APP)-About half of people reporting insomnia sleep for normal duration but a disturbed one.

According to a study, the insomnia may be more about the quality than the duration of sleep.

Although about half of people reporting insomnia sleep at least six hours a night, which is a normal amount, but Dr. Danial J. Buysse of the University of pittsburgh School of Medicine  reports on new research showing that even during sleep, insomniacs are aware and thinking,reported the Wall Street Journal.

As, the insomnia may be more about the quality than the duration of sleep the findings suggest that alternative treatments such as mindfulness mediation may be helpful for targetting overactive brain regions.
