Imran opted to flee from elections by nominating another candidate: Rashid

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Saturday said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan has opted to flee from the elections while nominating another candidate to contest the by-elections.

In a statement he said, Imran Khan has become frustrated after the announcement of by-elections in the two constituencies.

Imran Khan has fled from the arena after giving a challenge to Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif for contesting elections against him from Lahore.

It is also evident from the fact that Imran Khan has now nominated another candidate to contest the elections and he himself opted to flee from election, he added.

Posing a question, the minister said how a person, defeated by a soldier of Mohammad Nawaz Sharif, could dare to challenge the thrice elected Prime Minister.

He said Imran Khan had barely managed to become only MNA, that too with great difficulty.

He said Imran Khan’s challenge to the Prime Minister was tantamount to ‘mere a joke’ with the people of the country.

Pervaiz Rashid asked that the challenges are mounted keeping in view once position or status of a person, he said, adding that the nation has already come to know the true face of Imran Khan in last three years.

Pervaiz Rashid said Imran Khan should install cameras, in the polling stations so that the nation could see the defeat of PTI candidates as people did not vote for this party.

Imran Khan, once a critic of country’s justice system, was now lauding the two verdicts of same system, he added.
