First Pakistan super league will be held in Qatar next year

WEB DESK: The first Pakistan Super Premier League will held in Qatar in which five teams will participate in 24 matches from February 4 to 24.

According to the Chairman of Pakistan super league council Najam Sethi, the victory price of the championship will be $1,000,000.

Except for Indian players, well known players from all other countries have showed interest in playing in the Pakistan Super League.

Due to security reason PSL could not be held on the home ground. The first priority for hosting the game was give to United Arab Emirates, but the stadium was not available in the said dates.

The next choice was Qatar, however, its capital city Doha has only one stadium to conduct all 24 matches.

He added that franchise owner, sponsors and broadcasters will be finalized in the next three months. It is important to note that Pakistan Cricket Board, on the criteria of Indian Premier League, was trying for some time to get the idea of T20 PSL in to shape.

Former chief executive of the International Cricket Council, Haroon Lorgat was appointed to compile a report on Pakistan Super League with the help of Pakistan Cricket Board for which he was paid $150,000.
