PESHAWAR: The first Hajj flight of Pakistan International Airline (PIA) left Bacha Khan International Airport here on Monday with 327 intending pilgrims onboard.
The flight took off at 9:15 hours for the holy land.
At the airport, Air Vice Marshal Imran and Station Manager Bacha Khan Airport, Ehsanullah saw off the pilgrims.
Earlier the director Hajj Shakeel Ahmad Sethi informed the media persons that it was the first flight for Saudi Arabia and the operation would continue up till 17th September.
He further said that a total of 24386 pilgrims from KP and FATA will perform Hajj under government and private Hajj schemes. Out of which 13014 will perform Hajj under government scheme while 11372 under private scheme.
