KARACHI: In connection with Eid ul Azha, the cattle market of the sacrificial animals would be set up at the Super Highway here from August 15.
The decision to this effect was made at a meeting Saturday chaired by Commissioner Karachi, Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui.
There would be a ban on the sale of sacrificial animals in the city.
The district administration would extend every assistance for better arrangement at the cattle market and contact would be maintained with the relevant organizations.
Special arrangements would also be made for security on the occasion.
The participants of the meeting appreciated the arrangements that were made for the cattle market last year. It was decided that similar arrangements would also be made for this year.
The meeting was informed that this year every possible facility would be extended to the people at the cattle market for the purchase of the sacrificial animals.
Water and electricity arrangements would be made, proper cleanliness would be maintained and food courts would be set up for availability of eatables for the visitors.
