WEB DESK: In one year legspinner Yasir Shah shines in the Test series against Sir Lanka. He gave a seven-wicket haul for the revival of Pakistan in the second test match becoming the first Pakistani in the Top 10 ICC Bowlers.
He became the fastest Pakistan bowler to take 50 wickets in only nine test matches- and it’s not as if he has done it against teams that play spin badly. Shah’s 24 wickets are the most for any bowler in the year 2015.
He started playing Test format in 2014. He made his international debut in 2011 in Pakistan Vs Zimbabwe in Dubai in which he took two wickets. Leg spinner Yasir Shah is in serious consideration for a permanent replacement of Saeed Ajmal.
He has played 87 first-class matches. He has a very low number of matches in all the formats of cricket with 9 matches in test, 5 matches in ODIs and 2 matches in Test format whereas he has played 48 T20 matches till date.
With this short profile he is the first Pakistani who has managed to reach among the top 10 ICC Bowlers and become the fastest Pakistani bowler to take 50 wickets in only nine test matches.
