KARACHI: Evicted residents of the building in Mithadar which crumbled on Wednesday will be compensated for their loss, said the Provincial Minister of Local Bodies, Aaj News reported.
Karachi Building Control Authority issued a notice to evacuate the building before it crumbled to the ground early Wednesday morning. Residents of the buildings no longer have a roof over their head.
The Provincial Minister, Nasir Shah visited the place and announced compensation on the behalf of the Sindh Government. He pleaded to the concerned parties who have been issued eviction notices by KBCA to leave the places for the safety sake and to minimize any loss that can occur. He said the government will take action against illegally constructed buildings.
