ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Thursday forecast heavy to very heavy rainfalls in Kashmir, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Gujranwala divisions from Friday to Sunday.
Due to heavy falls flash flooding is expected in local nullahs during the period, said a spokesman of PMD.
Rain at isolated places in Malakand, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan,FATA, Lahore and Sarghodha divisions is also expected during next 24 hours.
According to met office, well mark seasonal low lies over north Balochistan and its adjoining areas with its trough extending south eastward. Moderate monsoon currents are penetrating into upper parts of the country and likely to strengthen from Friday and may persist in upper and central parts till Tuesday.
The hottest places recorded during the last 24,Dalbandin 46?C, Nokkundi, Sukur 45?C, and Rohri, Sh Benazirabad, Larkana, Dadu 44?C.
The chief amount of rainfall (mm) recorded during last 24 hours: Chitral 3mm and Malamjabba 2mm.
