ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Interior and Narcotics Control, Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman on Tuesday informed National Assembly that no increase has been made in renewal fee of Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs).
Replying to a Calling Attention Notice in the House, he said National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) is providing three type of services regarding CNIC including normal, urgent and executive.
The Minister said NADRA receives Rs. 75 for issuance of new CNIC under normal procedure, Rs. 300 for urgent and Rs. 1000 for executive service.
Baleegh ur Rehman said no increase has also been made in fee for issuance of duplicate CNIC but a procedural change has been introduced for issuance of duplicate CNIC.
He said the Authority has received so many applications for issuance of duplicate CNIC that is why a change has been made in normal delivery.
