PESHAWAR: At least 45 bogus were recovered from a woman in Takhtabad, during local body polls in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Aaj News reported.
The woman appeared to be a supporter of Jamiat-Ulema Islam, police said. She has been arrested and a inquiry being conducted.
Re-election begun on Thursday on 354 polling stations in connection with the Local Government (LG) elections in 14 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The polling begun at 8am and will continue till 5pm without any break.
The re-polling is being held in Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda, Mardan, Swabi, Hangu, Karak, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, DI Khan, Abbottabad, Manshera and Buner districts.
Earlier, the Election Commission of Pakistan had ordered re-elections after widespread irregularities were reporter in an election held last month.
In KPK, the total registered voters are 465600 including 211317 male and 254283 male for whom the ECP has setup 360 polling stations including 89 for male, 170 for female, 101 combined besides 1290 polling booths for voters’ facilitation.
