KARACHI: There was involvement of the Islamic State in the Safoora Bus attack, Aaj news reported.
The attack was made on the direct orders of Abdullah bin Yousuf, who heads the Punjab and Karachi chapter of IS.
The confession came from Tahir Minhaj Aka Sain, one of the key accused in the attack, while he was talking to the investigation team.
Minhaj said that Abdullah bin Yousuf was either in Helman province of Afghanistan or Syria.
He said that IS wall chalking in the city was done under Saad Aziz’s supervision. Aziz was also accused of the bus attack.
Minhaj said he wanted to go to Syria with his family, but before he could do so he was arrested.
