ISLAMABAD: Leader of the House in Senate Raja Zafarul Haq has said that India is playing a negative role in the region by interfering in Pakistani territory.
Talking to Radio Pakistan, he said that Pakistan always tried to have peaceful relations with all its neighbours, including India, besides proving itself a good neighbour.
The Pakistani forces, he said, were fully capable to stop the Indian aggression on borders as well as counter its conspiracies inside the country.
To a question, he said that India was not happy over the historic China Pakistan Economic Corridor project as it would bring huge investment of 46 billion dollars in Pakistan.
“India is increasing tension on borders and also creating unrest in Pakistan to stop this project, but this time it will fail,” he added.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Senator Lt. General (retd) Abdul Qayyum Khan, speaking in radio programme, said that India had made a serious violation of the Line of Control. It was a clear example of trespaasing on the sovereignty of another country, he added.
He said that India had been carrying out activities to destabilize Pakistan but it could not succeed in its designs. “Since India knows that it cannot acquire Kashmir by any means, so it has started provocations on the LoC,” he added.
He said that Pakistan should not be distracted by Indian provocations. It must adhere to the United Nations Charter and keep on cooperating with the international community.
