KARACHI: Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated across Pakistan with religious zeal and fervour. Eid prayers were held in mosques and Eidgahs in all cities and towns of the country.
During the eid prayers, special prayers were offered for the well-being of the country while in sermons the Ulema highlighted the significance of Eid-ul-Fitr.
According to the reports, over 3,000 Eid congregations were held in Karachi and began from 6 AM.
In Peshawar Eid prayers were offered where people prayed for the prosperity of the nation.
While, in Lahore also special prayers were offered for the well being of nation.
Over 200 Eid congregations were held in Balochistan’s provincial capital Quetta.
President Mamnoon Hussain offered Eid prayers at the Faisal Mosque in Islamabad along with parliamentarians, ministers and diplomats of Muslim countries. On the festivity of Eid, the president also congratulated the nation.
