CHITRAL: The death toll from floods have reached 26 as 10 more bodies were recovered from the affected areas, Aaj News reported.
According to the PDMA an entire village was swept away by the flood water. Over 35 people in Chitral have gone missing following the floods.
The flood has destroyed roads, bridges and over 300 houses.
Meanwhile, the Punjab government has released Rs 200 million to deal with on-going flood situation and improve condition of different embankments.
This was stated by MNA Dr Hafeezur Rehman Khan Dareshak during his
visit to Nishtar Ghat Karaik-1. He said the PML-N leaderships considered Rajanpur as their own home.
He said that there was middle level flood in Rajanpur and it was in complete control.
The government was working on different projects to save Rajanpur district from flood devastation on permanent basis, he said.
