KARACHI: In the first six months of this year 435 people in Karachi lost their lives due to terrorism, Aaj News reported.
The people of Karachi lost their lives to target killing, bomb attack and murders.
Last year 2909, people were killed in acts of terrorism in Karachi, said a Human Rights Commission Pakistan report.
In January three people were killed, in February 76 people were killed, 102 were killed in March including an attack on Bohri masjid at Arambagh, 64 were killed in April including Prof Waheedur Rehman, 111 were killed in May including those in the Safoora Bus attack and 89 people were killed in June.
Of the dead, over 50 include police officers; three were DSP – abdul fateh sangri, zulfiqar haider and majeed abbas. One of the killed was SP Jail Ijaz Haider. In an attack at Landhi two Rangers officials were killed.
