WEB DESK: Tanu Weds Manu Returns, the latest Bollywood blockbuster has become the first movie of 2015 to cross the Rs 100 crore mark, Indian Media reported.
Since it’s released on May 22, the film has earned Rs 165 crore in total globally; Rs 129 crore from India and Rs 36 core from overseas.
On its second week of release the movie is still doing great business. It did Rs 38.10 crore business on it first week of release.
The movie crossed the Rs100 crore mark in India last Mondy. The movie was released across 2200 screen in India and 350 screens overseas.
A estimated budget of Rs30 crore was invested in the making of this movie.
Aanand L. Rai, director of the movie said that nothing can be bigger and more encouraging than this for a filmmaker. Rai also thanked everyone for making the film an instant hit.
