WEB DESK: A hotel in Japan will be operated entirely by robots.
In the city of Sasebo, Japan, a hotel named The Henn-na Hotel will open soon. It will be an innovation to the hospitality industry.
Ten life-like robots with eerily realistic female faces will greet visitors. Only two flesh-and-blood members will be included in the hotel’s staff.
According to reports which appeared in the BBC, the robots will perform each task just like human beings. They will greet guests, carry bags, and even clean rooms once a guest leaves. The realistic female face robots are designed to speak several languages.
Almost 72 rooms of the hotel will be looked by the robotic staff, they will respond to guest inquiries as well.
Facial recognition software will open doors for guests.
At the hotel, receptionists have their own “kiosk app” for checking in guests.
