LAHORE: The second Friday prayers of Ramazan were offered amid tight security in different areas of the provincial metropolis.
Police sources said a comprehensive security plan was put in place to maintain law and order in the city during Ramazan. Hundreds of police commandoes were deployed at mosques and Imambarghas in different areas.
Parking areas were established at least 100 meters away from gathering places where a constable or a private security guard was deployed to check all vehicles.
Lahore Police Chief Muhammad Amin Vains reviewed the security plan a couple of days ago and ordered deployment of police commandoes around mosques, Imambarghas, markets, jewellery shops, money changers and bank branches.
