LONDON: Altaf Hussain, Muttahida Qaumi Movement Chief decided to leave the leadership of the party once again, Aaj News reported.
The assembly members remained silent spectators as Khawaja Asif, Federal Minister disrespected us, said the MQM Chief.
The National Assembly on Monday passed a resolution to extend the Army Ordinance Act. MQM boycotted the session. Khwaja Asif, Defence Minister said that the MQM s afraid to back the extension in Army Ordinance Act as it fears it ‘black deeds’may be punished.
As a reaction Hussain, said that he was disheartened and would leave the party leadership.
While talking to a local media channel, Hussain said that Khwaja Asif has said that the real Mohajirs are from Ludhiana and Jalandhar. “But at the time of partition around 20, 000, 00 migrated from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Hyderabad Dakan, Ali Garh, East Punjab and Agra.”
Asif’s statement belittles the sacrifices made by Muslim minorities, said Hussain.
Hussain also said that he had worked hard for almost 37 year to gather the Muslim minorities of India under one flag but now he cannot lead the party any more.
