WEB DESK: During the last two years, donkeys population increased by one hundred thousands, revealed the Economic Survey of Pakistan 2015-16.
A story published in a local newspaper stated that the population of donkeys has increased by 100,ooo in two years, while the number of horses, mules and camels remained the same.
The survey further revealed that the donkeys’ population increased from 4.5 million in 2008-09 to 5 million in 2014-15. In 1997-98, their number was 3.2 million and 3.8 million in 1999-00 reportedly.
The number of buffalos increased by one million to 35.6 million, during the last two years, disclosed the economic survey.
