WEBDESK: Two young boys lost their lives when they stopped an alleged ISIS suicide bomber from entering a Shiite mosque in Saudi Arabia, reported The Independent.
When the bomber could not enter the mosque he blew up at the gate killing the two boys.
Mohammed Hassan Ali bin Isa and Abdul-Jalil al-Arbash were two volunteer security guards at the mosque. Their heroic attempt saved thousands of worshippers praying inside the Imam Hussein mosque at Dammam city on Friday.
The attack left three people dead.
According to the reports appeared in The Independent, the bomber was disguised as a woman. He tried to enter through a closed female entrance before going to the main gate, where the two boys were manning a civilian checkpoint.
By stopping the bomber at the main gate of mosque, they young men saved a lot of lives, they both are real heroes, the Middle East Eye reported.
When the suicide bomber tried to enter the women’s section of the mosque in the south entrance, they both chased him.
One of the young men, Abdul-Jalil was reportedly 25 and had recently returned from studying at university in the US, getting married just days ago.
Both young men have been called ‘heroes’ and ‘martyrs’ by people. Pictures of the heroice pair are circulating the social media today.
As there is lack of female security staff, Saudi religious authorities had asked women to keep away from mosques during Friday prayers.
This is the second attack on a mosque in Saudi Arabia in ten days.
