LAHORE: The opposition in the Punjab Assembly, rejected the joint investigation report on Model Town tragedy and demanded that the Judicial Commission report be disclosed, Aaj News reported.
Mehmood Ul Rasheed, opposition leader called the JIT report unjust as the ruling party was not held responsible for the event.
However, in the judicial commission report ministers and police officers were held responsible for the tragic event.
Rasheed further added that the government is now acting as a judge.
Zaeem Qadri, Government of Punjab’s spokesperson suggested that the court be reached out to if anyone had a problem regarding the report.
The opposition walked out from the house over government’s statement.
