ISLAMABAD: Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha Tuesday said that mere apology of Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain over the statement against National Institutions was not sufficient.
Talking to a news channel, he said a patriot Pakistani could not give such remarks even ironically.
Replying to a question, he said government was bound to follow the decision of the Upper House’s standing committee on the issue adding that action would be taken against MQM chief if the standing committee recommended.
Ranjha said it was the priority of the government to maintain law and order across the country including Karachi.
He said the ongoing operation in Karachi was against criminals without any discrimination and would continue till restoration of durable peace in the city.
