NAWABSHAH: Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, said on Tuesday that four suspects involved in Safoora Goth bus firing incident have been arrested.
Talking to newsmen after the conclusion of 13th Convocation of Peoples University of Medical and Health Science (PUMHS) for Women he said that it was not possible to check every person in a population of more than twenty million of Karachi.
Chief Minister said that he was discharging his duties with utmost responsibility and added that the government of Pakistan Peoples Party would continue to strive for the rights of the common man.
He said that apex committees were formed and decision was taken to constitute military courts following the grave incident of terrorism on Army Public School, Peshawar. He said that Pakistan Army has rendered praiseworthy services during the operation against terrorist elements and score of its jawans including many from Sindh province sacrificed their lives.
The CM categorically stated that Karachi operation has produced considerable positive results and significant decrease has been noticed in the cases of kidnapping for ransom, target killing, extortion and other crimes.
He said that traders at the Expo exhibition while expressing their views agreed that peace has been restored in Karachi to a great extent and they are doing their business without any fear.
Chief Minister said that police and Rangers have been given authority to curb crime from Karachi. He said that policy making is the job of government and its implementation is the duty of law enforcing agencies.
To a question Sindh Chief Minister said that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would soon return to Pakistan and would run party affairs and play a role in politics of the country.
