PESHAWAR: Federal government under the aegis of Directorate of Health Services Fata held six days free medical camp in South Waziristan Agency where patients were provided free treatment besides medicines and minor operations conducted on the spot.
The camp was held at Hangurada, Shakai and Azam Warsak areas where specialist doctors and medical technicians conducted laboratory tests, distributed free medicines while glasses were also provided to patients, said a press release of Fata Health Services Department here Wednesday.
The camp was held under the directives of Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Additional Chief Secretary Fata.
The mobile hospital and eye care services officials also provided treatment to the patients under the supervision of Programme Manager Dr Uzma. About 538 patients provided free eye glasses and 115 different laboratory tests conducted.
The tribal people highly appreciated holding of the camp by the government.
