ISLAMABAD: Co-Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari failed to appear before accountability court, which summoned a case accusing the ex-President of Pakistan of not submitting correct details about his wealth, Aaj News reported.
Zardari’s lawyer Farooq Hamid Naek pleaded that his client, who is present in Islamabad was unable to appear before the court due to some health issues.
The court has postponed its hearing till 13th May.
This is the second time Zardari failed to appear before the accountability court.
In 2001 Asset Reference Case was registered against the Former President and Co-Chairman of PPP. Till now 18 witnesses have recorded their statements.
