Ali Zafar turns 35

WEB DESK: Ali Zafar a singer, an actor, a song writer and painter will celebrate his 35th birthday today

Zafar got his first break in a Lollywood movie ‘Shararat’ directed by Samina Peerzada with the song ‘Jugnuon Se Bhar Le Aanchal’.

But the song that made his mark in the industry was his first single ‘Channo’ from his very first album ‘Huqa Pani’ in 2003. The album was an immediate hit.

His first experience in acting was in Pakistani television dramas like ‘Kanch Ke Par’ and miniseries ‘Kollege Jeans’. After becoming music sensation in Pakistan and beyond, he was offered the role of ‘Sarmad in Khuda Kay Liye’, a film by Shoaib Mansoor released in 2007 which he accepted, but was unable to sign due to some personal reasons. The role was then performed by Fawad Afzal Khan.

The home boy cast a spell over the audience when he was given the task to perform sufi and folk songs

On July 28, 2009 he tore down the dreams of thousands or may be millions of girls when he decided to marry his long time fiancée Ayesha Fazil.

Zafar’s talent was not hidden as he already gained fame from his first album was offered to perform in India. His first Bollywood movie was ‘Tere Bin Laden’ which was released in 2010 which was nominated for Filmfare Best Male Debut Award.

Since that day the singer cum actor has appeared in several movies. His last venture as an actor was ‘Kill Dill’.

At only 35 years of age, Zafar has achieved it all. He may not be the best but he sure is one of the best.
