ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar said that Pakistan cannot request the handover of a criminal through extradition process, as there is no extradition pact signed between the two countries, Aaj News reported.
Nisar said that the co-operation cannot be one sided, it’s like tit for tat you hand us over our wanted criminals and we will do the same for you.
He said that the co-operation will be done according to the constitution of Pakistan, he also praises the character of Pakistani agencies who played a vital role in the murder case of Imran Farooq otherwise the case would have been kept in a dark place.
He pledges that the result will be achieved soon to conclude the case.
Nisar further added that his meeting with the British High Commissioner Philip Barton has nothing to do with the investigation carried out by Scotland Yard against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain.
We tagged with Britain according to the international agreements, said the interior minister.
