LARKANA: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Larkana Kamran Nawaz Panjutha on Wednesday presided over a high level meeting with DSPs, SHOs and other officers of District Police Department here at his office on Wednesday, to review the arrangements for 36th death anniversary of former prime minister Shaheed Zulifqar Ali Bhutto to be commemorated on April 4, 2015 at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto.
SSP Kamran Nawaz Panjutha apprised the meeting about the security plan.
He said foolproof security arrangements have been made and 220 police pickets have been established on various roads leading to the mausoleum at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto and Bhutto House Naudero to ensure the law and order situation.
Besides 7000 police cops, commandos, women police and traffic police officials will be deployed at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto and Naudero.
In addition to that the services of rangers have been sought to help the police to maintain the law and order during the mega event.
SSP Larkana further said that security equipment including walk through gates, close circuit cameras, metal detectors, watch towers will be installed at various points to monitor the security and added that during the appearance of VVIPs and VIPs at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto, aerial surveillance will be carried out by helicopters.
The SSP told the meeting that a comprehensive traffic plan has been formulated to avoid any traffic problems, 800 traffic police personnel will perform their services to facilitate the incoming processions from across the country, special police control rooms will be set up to effectively monitor all security activities and ensure foolproof arrangements, he added.
